Step 3: Accept your contract

Once you have completed your connection to the grid, your local distribution company will contact the OPA. The local distribution company will provide the OPA with information about your project so that the OPA can prepare and offer you a contract.

The OPA will send you a notice of microFIT contract offer to the email address you provided in your application. To accept the contract offer, you must log on to your “My microFIT home page” and follow the instructions provided on screen. Contracts are executed electronically through a secure website.

After you have accepted your contract, payments will be made to you for all the electricity produced by your microFIT project. Payments will be made by your local distribution company on the behalf of the OPA.
